How was week one of the National Quilters Circle Quilting for a Cause Quilt Block Challenge? Great? Great! Now, let’s get quilting week two! These quilt blocks are calling our names!
For this challenge we are working on a unique pattern designed by our managing editor, Ashley Hough, specially made for donation to Project Linus. The finished size of the quilt will be 48’’ x 60’’ and a finished block will be 6’’.
This week we will be making 8 blocks with fabrics 1, 2 & 3. Please, read over all instructions before beginning on your block. Click the button below to download a PDF with instructions for your second block. And make sure to share your progress in the Quilting Block Challenge Facebook Group – we can’t wait to see everyone’s work!
For this challenge, we partnered with Project Linus, an organization that will accept your homemade quilt and distribute them to children in need. We know how sharing a quilt with someone can make the whole experience even more worthwhile and we hope to donate as many quilts as possible. However, you can still participate in the challenge if you choose not to donate the finished quilt.
Find your local Project Linus chapter for donation here!

If you haven’t signed up for the Quilt Block Challenge, there’s still time! You can sign up here to make sure you get the block assignments delivered to your inbox each week.

love your quilts
Is there a deadline to complete this quilt? I got whacked with a sinus infection and I’m way behind on everything Christmas. : (
There is a chance I won’t start this until January. I hope that isn’t a problem as I have already purchased the fabric. TIA
Hi there April!
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear about your sinus infection. Those are the worst sometimes.
There’s no deadline at all so you start and donate your quilt when you’re able. Just make sure to keep up to date on when we release our patterns or save the page so you can go back and download them at a later date!
Get well soon!

I have tried to down load week one, two and three and all I can get printed are the directions . For some reason the pictures/ photos of the blocks do not print. Is there a reason for this as my printer works very well and any thing else that I want to print, can you help please. Many Thanks in Advance .
Hi there Gillian!
Let’s see what we can do.
Depending on your printer, you have to make sure when you get ready to print your pages to look at the preview before it prints. If the photos aren’t showing up, it could be a formatting error. I would open up the files and print from the program that opens those files up for you.
If you’re still having issues, please let us know and we’ll see if we can’t help further!
Sincerely,
Jessica
