How was week one of the National Quilters Circle Quilting for a Cause Quilt Block Challenge? Great? Great! Now, let’s get quilting week two! These quilt blocks are calling our names!
For this challenge we are working on a unique pattern designed by our managing editor, Ashley Hough, specially made for donation to Project Linus. The finished size of the quilt will be 48’’ x 60’’ and a finished block will be 6’’.
This week we will be making 8 blocks with fabrics 1, 2 & 3. Please, read over all instructions before beginning on your block. Click the button below to download a PDF with instructions for your second block. And make sure to share your progress in the Quilting Block Challenge Facebook Group – we can’t wait to see everyone’s work!
For this challenge, we partnered with Project Linus, an organization that will accept your homemade quilt and distribute them to children in need. We know how sharing a quilt with someone can make the whole experience even more worthwhile and we hope to donate as many quilts as possible. However, you can still participate in the challenge if you choose not to donate the finished quilt.
Find your local Project Linus chapter for donation here!
If you haven’t signed up for the Quilt Block Challenge, there’s still time! You can sign up here to make sure you get the block assignments delivered to your inbox each week.
