I wonder whether Heather is familiar with the term "wabi sabi?" It is a Japanese term that means the charm and joy of the imperfect. I refer to it frequently with my Knitting students.It is also a great idea to have in mind for quilters, as well!

How would you clean a carded wool quilt thats 40 + years old
I am trying to just straight stitch to quilt my quilt. The fabric drags and I get very short stitches. I've tried using the walking foot and a regular foot to see if it makes a difference. The walking foot seems to be worse but I know I should use it. I've tried varying the tension to no avail. What should I do? I've also changed needles, rethreaded, used a different needle, etc. (when I tried using a double needle I could never get the tension right.).
I have a seam on my crazy quilt that is coming apart from sitting on it. Is there an easy way to fix it without taking the quilt apart?
