    Really? This gives me no inspiration for quilting designs at all, but it did inspire me to use certain fabrics.

    I don’t understand the point of this post. It shows swatches of fabrics, and this is supposed to be inspirational for FMQ?

    I’d have to see the stitching as well as the fabric. How would you quilt the Boteh if the design were appliqué.

      Hi Elizabeth,
      Here is what our expert had to say:
      Any time you are quilting something that has an applique on it- I always recommend stitching around the appliqued design (as opposed to over it). This can either be done as an echo type of quilting where you follow the shape of the applique design, or you could do any kind of motif or fill stitch around the design. If the applique design is rather large, you may want to do a small amount of quilting on it as well.
