The process of layering patchwork pieces is called appliqué. Within the world of appliqué there are a variety of techniques used. In this video Colleen Tauke your instructor will address the process of raw edge machine appliqué. You will learn the techniques used for preparing, tracing and fusing the shapes that create beautiful and sometimes intricate designs.

Next, your instructor will discuss the variety of stitch choices and threads that can be used. Then, you will see the machine stitching in progress to secure those individual appliqué pieces. A variety of thread examples of are presented each creating a different look to your appliqué project.
