Heather Thomas shows you how to make your work truly your own by using soft modeling paste and quilting stencils. This material allows you to embed things into the fabric, paint it, give texture to the surface, and what you will learn how to do is stencil with it. This is a really easy product to stencil with that gives you an awesome and soft finish.

can you quilt through it? Is there a tutorial on how you paint it once dry
Hello,
Yes, Heather does mention that this can be quilted through after it has dried, however we do not have a tutorial showing this.

Question, when you paint after this dries do you put the stencil back on to paint or paint free hand?
Question, when you paint it after it dries, do you put the stencil back on and paint or paint free hand?
Hi Deb. I free handed mine but your idea of putting the stencil back on might be easier.
Hope you have fun with the technique.
Is the Quilting Stencils with Soft Modeling Paste for display quilts only, or is it washable and/or dry-able for quilts getting used?
Hi Leah. Unfortunately this technique is for wall art only. It cannot be washed.
