when free motion quilting does the foot not touch fabric.
How do you decide what pattern to use for quilting your quilt top? I have a queen- sized quilt made from 20″ blocks each made from 84 pieces (squares and half squares). I had thought of channel quilting or cross-hatch?????
What are your thoughts about quilting the top with clear thread. I will be attempting a quilt for my daughter and all the fabrics are various hues of black and white a little gray. I am not sure of the backing yet. However, as far as quilting thread, i have heard very mixed reviews on clear and wasn’t sure if black or white would be to heavy on the opposing colors.
