How can I prevent puckering on the backing when I quilt?
Hello Roz,
Thank you for contacting us. In regards to puckering. There is too much tension in the seam thread thus causing light, thin material to pucker. The main cause for this problem is that the sewing machine thread tension is set too high. … As a rule, the thread tensions of the needle and bobbin threads must be set as low as possible.
Keep on quilting.

Thanks for the info for tee shirt quilts. I just finished a quilt top that combines tee shirts and cotton. Are there any concerns in quilting the top, i.e., ball point needles vs universal?
