Hi, How do you determine a scant 1/4 inch seam? I am finding more and more people are using it in classes.

  2. Vickie Gallegos

What is the minimum machine throat size on which you would machine quilt.

  3. Giovanna

What type of free motion quilting design would you use on a flannel baby quilt?

My mom pieced a (sppx) 5' x 5' quilt, but unfortunately got sick and passed before she finished it. I've been sewing my entire life (mostly clothes), but have never quilted or bound anything. In your opinion, would it be a good or bad first project for me to try finishing her quilt?

    Hi! From Charleston, South Carolina!

Thank you for being here for us. My only problem right now is getting my studio organized. We moved everything from two houses in Texas where I had two sewing rooms full of fabric to one house in Florida. I teach quilting and this covid is breaking my heart. I need to meet new quilters but I have a liver disease that keeps me away from people.😢 Again thanks for being here.😊❤

    Teaching myself not tacit!

I’m tacit myself to quilt. I’ve made 4 so far. Each is a little better. I’m new to seeing so would appreciate tips on cutting, keeping seams straight and piecing.

I have been hand quilting for decades but now learning to machine quilt on a domestic machine, any tips to make it easier on neck and shoulders? And make it look more professional!!
