I’ve been quilting for years and am so glad I watched your video. Thanks for the tip on the diagonal binding tuck. That is a much easier way to finish. I also like the tip of leaving the extra backing and batting around the edge.

      Hello Patricia,

Here’s what the experts had to say about your question:
Yes, if you want your binding to me a little thicker, you can leave closer to 3/8″ when trimming up the quilt.

      Sincerely,

Can you Clarify something about the binding corner where are you said to be a little sloppier? Are you saying that when you fold the binding up over the part you just stitched, and then fold down, that’s where you should leave a little extra fabric at the top? Thanks! This was a great video!

      Hi,

Yes, this is the part where you should leave a little extra, around 1/8″.

      Cheers,
      Ashley
