I mistakenly had it facing the wrong way and ironed it to the pad. Mea culpa

This is from another reply above. Sounds like it would be a good solution for you.

After making sure it was thoroughly clean from threads, I spread some Mayonnaise on mine and rubbed it in really good. Then after letting that soak in for about two hours, I rubbed the Mayo off with paper towels and wiped it down with a damp , lightly soaped wash cloth. Then dried with a soft dry towel. Looks like brand new.

Hi Jeffrey,

The gridded cutting mat and non-stick ironing surface are side by side. It can be used on any work surface. You can use both sides or fold one under.

If you have any other concerns, please contact us at 1-855-706-3538, or chat with us on our site.
We greatly appreciate your business!

Sincerely,

From day one it does not matter what I cut it retains fibres in the cut. I have tried using their brand of cutter and it makes no difference. I had contacted the manufacturer and their response was to usethese blades. Most dishearting as they are new. I am defibitly going to try this and see what happens. Thanks
