I really wish I knew what comments go with what quilt photos. Is there a way to figure this out? I have left compliment comments for some of the quilts that people have shared photos of, but my comments get lost in the disarray of all the comments just being jumbled together rather than posted under the photo they’re meant for. I can’t find comments I’ve posted, in order to see if there are replies to any of them. I also don’t know if anyone ever makes a comment on my photos, of which I’d like to reply to, but can’t if I don’t know a comment has been left. Just wanting to be courteous to all… everyone does such a lovely job and sometimes I really like to let them know. Please advise?

      Hi Gina,

The only thing I can advise is if you want to get a message to that person, start it “in reply to” and their name hopefully they will see your message.

Free form medallion quilt – started with two small pieces of the yellow-orange in the center, and pulled other fabrics to go with it. The braids, blue, and black and white checkerboard were leftovers from an earlier quilt.

I absolutely LOVE this! I have some drawings that my son made for me when he was much younger (he’s 19 now), that I was going to scan in and print on Spoonflower fabric, to use in some wall quilts for my sewing room, but I really love how you completely turned your granddaughter’s drawing into an art quilt. I would love to be able and figure out how to do something like this!

FINALLY! Thanks to internet and printable fabrics I have been able to finish the quilt top for my World Quilt, Bucket List. Each block contains squares with iconic symbols or landmarks of a country or region of the world. The center squares each contain a silhouette of an unmistakable image from that country/region. The center is the world surrounded by ocean. The border is very bright sky blending from a gold lame` sun in the upper right, to a midnight dark sky with silver lame` moon in the lower left, with stars. Now to decide how to quilt it! LOL!

She Loves Halloween and I fell in love with the feet fabric then when I tied it together with the witches shoes and “If the shoe fits…” wording I was in love with it. It is a 2 sided wall hanging / table runner, the other side is radiating fabric from a square center. It was as much fun to make as it is to look at.

With the help of my fellow quilters doing the same challenge, I really did learn a lot and definitely improved by skills by the end of the challenge. I may do this one again, only the larger quilt!

Pattern available on my website: http://www.sewgocreate.com It’s called “Salute the Colors” and was my first quilt quilted on my new mid-arm machine. I call the elongated snowall a “Pocket Lozenge” because the corners are folded for a 3D effect and oblong like a lozenge. Very versatile pattern–I plan to make it again in aquas with bright pink, yellow, lime and purple pinwheel corners, still saluting the colors but not the flag colors.
