Very nice quilt. Loved to have that pattern. I want to make some 3D quilt since years, but thought it is too difficult to make. Once I will try !!!!
in any way nice work !

I really wish I knew what comments go with what quilt photos. Is there a way to figure this out? I have left compliment comments for some of the quilts that people have shared photos of, but my comments get lost in the disarray of all the comments just being jumbled together rather than posted under the photo they’re meant for. I can’t find comments I’ve posted, in order to see if there are replies to any of them. I also don’t know if anyone ever makes a comment on my photos, of which I’d like to reply to, but can’t if I don’t know a comment has been left. Just wanting to be courteous to all… everyone does such a lovely job and sometimes I really like to let them know. Please advise?
The only thing I can advise is if you want to get a message to that person, start it “in reply to” and their name hopefully they will see your message.
My first attempt at applique was this bicycle quilt for my sister. She helped choose the fabrics for the bike. I spent 8 hours embroidering the Tiger Lilies (her favorite flower) and added a couple of bees for fun.
Free form medallion quilt – started with two small pieces of the yellow-orange in the center, and pulled other fabrics to go with it. The braids, blue, and black and white checkerboard were leftovers from an earlier quilt.

I absolutely LOVE this! I have some drawings that my son made for me when he was much younger (he’s 19 now), that I was going to scan in and print on Spoonflower fabric, to use in some wall quilts for my sewing room, but I really love how you completely turned your granddaughter’s drawing into an art quilt. I would love to be able and figure out how to do something like this!
FINALLY! Thanks to internet and printable fabrics I have been able to finish the quilt top for my World Quilt, Bucket List. Each block contains squares with iconic symbols or landmarks of a country or region of the world. The center squares each contain a silhouette of an unmistakable image from that country/region. The center is the world surrounded by ocean. The border is very bright sky blending from a gold lame` sun in the upper right, to a midnight dark sky with silver lame` moon in the lower left, with stars. Now to decide how to quilt it! LOL!
Our son-in-law’s daughter graduated from Texas Tech University. He had about 15 Dad T-shirts from those days and asked if I could do “something” with them. This quilt is what I came up with. He loves it!
Sent two pictures, one in process, and one finished. I have the full size poster, but over the years it has sun faded, so used it as my inspiration for this portrait. This is my first attempt at anything even similar to this so was very happy it turned out well.
This is my design…the koala theme was a request by the mom for her first baby. I have known Danielle since she was a child and her mom is a very good friend
Pictures of children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were scanned and printed in black and white on fabric cloth. A “mock” log cabin block was sewn around each picture. This was my first quilt as you go quilt. Now i call it my prayer quilt.
Memories of home is a quilt I made for my mom’s 90th birthday. It shows the farm where she was born and my grandparents waving to us as we leave to go home.
My 1st quilt. Saw these jeans that my husband was getting rid of and stopped him. I cut them up into 5 inch squares, added old tshirts for color and put them all together. Did stick in the ditch and Done!
I love the pattern and the fabric selection for this quilt. The pattern name is “Sweet Tea”. I made the quilt top by machine and hand quilted it. I made this for my sister who is fighting stage four lung cancer.
I have been making quilts for over forty years, all by hand. I only use a machine to sew large sections together. My stitches are not quite as close together as they used to be but I still work at it with love. I do not sell them but give them away.
I made and quilted this for my granddaughter as a wedding gift. She chose the pattern and fabric. It is my take on the “Origami Oasis Starry Migration Quilt” by Tamara Kate Designs. The pattern is for a throw so I had to do some math and rearranging for Queen Size.
I decided to make each of my little ones.
a quilt for their birthday. I’m into the second year. it is going slower than I thoughu it would. I’m on the third quilt done on my machine , while I’m working on Sun Bonnet by hand.
I love being creative in my quilting projects. It always amazes me how everything comes together. This was my first block of the month quilt. It was a challenge but so much fun!!
Over 500 hrs. to research Navajo designs, select fabrics, cut and assemble. Quilt pattern designed by Michelle Watts and quilted by Deb Wehmeyer. Quilt appraisal by Cindy Brick. Shown in the Tucson Quilt Show 2019 and the Grand Lake, CO Quilt Show 2019.
The fifth queen sized quilt I have made. My Mom made each of her four children a quilt when we got married and I did one for each of my four children before I got to make mine.
I have been quilting since the 80’s. This quilt was the most challenging I’ve ever made. So many intricate pieces to cut out and place perfectly! It was a joyous feeling when it was finished!!
I thoroughly enjoyed sewing this queen size bargello quilt, I did it with the aboriginal colours in mind, I have yet to purchase the backing for it and quilt it.
I finished this gift for a coworker 2 months after her birthday. She Loves Halloween and I fell in love with the feet fabric then when I tied it together with the witches shoes and “If the shoe fits…” wording I was in love with it. It is a 2 sided wall hanging / table runner, the other side is radiating fabric from a square center. It was as much fun to make as it is to look at.
I got this pattern from a Youtube tutorial by Sew Yeah. Didn’t take long to piece, but my long arm messed up before I could finish the quilting, so I had to rip out 5 or 6 rows and start over 🙁
I’m a fairly new quilter and wanted to take my skill to the next level. Working with triangles and therefore the bias of a fabric has proven to be the most challenging. With the help of my fellow quilters doing the same challenge, I really did learn a lot and definitely improved by skills by the end of the challenge. I may do this one again, only the larger quilt!
This is my first quilt made with two Batik Jelly Rolls, using the Jelly Roll Race method. It took a little while to get the diagonals right, but I love the random design and it does go pretty quickly, once you get the hang of it! This is a great quilt method for new quilters.
I am very happy to share one of my favorite quilt – “Chevron Quilt”. It was made in Feb 2014 and yet every time I look at the picture it always gives me a look of freshness.
I love, love, love this! I lived in Italy (USAF) with my husband for two years and drove the tunnel through those mountains several times. It’s making me home
continuing last comment……..sick. Homesick. CIAO!! I’m planning to eventually do an Italian mosaic maze for my son…though I want to add a TARDIS hiding in the middle.
In a previous comment (before I found the place to submit photo), I accidentally typed “snowall”–I, of course, meant snowball. OOPs! I actually started this quilt about 20 yrs ago but had no way to quilt it until last year when I bought a quilting machine. I made stars and flags in red on the white area, but don’t look too closely because it was my first attempt!
Christmas Water Globes is the first quilt i ever started, over 30 years ago, designed from a picture in a House of Fabrics add. i got the front put together, but didn’t have the room to finish, nor did i know what to do. a quilter friend finished it for me (edge, batting, backing, trim, quilting) last year.
Pattern available on my website: http://www.sewgocreate.com It’s called “Salute the Colors” and was my first quilt quilted on my new mid-arm machine. I call the elongated snowall a “Pocket Lozenge” because the corners are folded for a 3D effect and oblong like a lozenge. Very versatile pattern–I plan to make it again in aquas with bright pink, yellow, lime and purple pinwheel corners, still saluting the colors but not the flag colors.
This quilt is in the tradition of Frank Lloyd Wright. The middle window is in the living room of the Charles Ennis house in Los Angeles, and the side windows are library windows. The “leading” black fabric starts out at 3/4″
Made this for my son while he was serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. It was fun to remember all the Orchestra trips I went on and how hard he worked in Academic decathlon, remembering his soccer playing years, remembering when I was his Cub Scout leader, helping out in his school classes, ext.
I made this quilt from my grandsons first year baby clothes. I also added baby pictures down both sides of the quilt. The backing is a small blanket. I didn’t add any batting.
I’m fairly new to Collage Quilting, I find it to be loads of fun. My Rooster Quilt won a 2nd prize at the fair this year. It’s one my my favorites. Join the fun.
Quilting is my Passion, I’ve learned a lot of so many American Quilters – actually there is not so much time for sewing because of our two little grandchildren but, I’ll improve my skills further on. Follow me on pinterest 🙂 Monika A.Moser
Thanks for giving me place to show my work. The colors are very brilliant, on front and back, fell in love with the design the moment I saw it hanging in the quilt shop. Glad I challenged myself, took the class, and finished the project in a few months.
This was a challenge from my quilting teacher. I started quilting 2 1/2 years ago and have not stopped since !!! This pattern is the fire island Hosta and it was my 85 th quilt. I am now at number 105 and still going 😉
I think my son will like the design since it’s very modern, took a class to help with the piecing. I made coordinating pillow cases using the background Kaffe fabric with the pillowcase cuff being stained glass windows.
Began this quilt in 2008, time passed and I forgot about it. My aunt called and wanted a small table quilt in blue and white. Remembered this one and completed it the next day.
This took me three years to complete
I saw this made in a quilt shop in Branson and fell in love with it. Bought the pattern there, the fabrics in Sugarland, TX. It took me three full years to complete, it was really difficult for me, so I would put it away and come back to it months later. It was quilted by Candace Blanton at Sew it Seams in Port Arthur, TX. She just bought her long arm, and learned so much. We are both very pleased with the results.
The person I made this quilt for did not care for traditional quilts so we finally came up with the idea to add to her Harley collection by adding a quilt to it.
I had fractured my ankle, my husband brought me my new bolt of fabric which I cut into 9” squares, and I sat and sewed by hand. It took 1 hour to sew the first origami square, after 2 hours was able to sew the window in. A fun car craft on our many trips.
House divided Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings For my Grandson who’s family is half Green Bay fans and half Viking fans. Also nickname is Cupcake so has a cupcake in the middle
I made this quilt in 2016 for my youngest son’s wedding. I adapted a Christmas pattern by Suzn Quilts. It was displayed at the venue with the other decorations. I titled it “Eli and Misty Tie the Knot”.
As stressful as life is with everything that is going on now setting in front of my sewing machine with a piece of fabric is truly my happy place I find rest relaxation and true enjoyment no matter if my corners lineup or my bobbin runs out. Happy Quilting to all
Just an interested novice

My first attempt at applique was this bicycle quilt for my sister. She helped choose the fabrics for the bike. I spent 8 hours embroidering the Tiger Lilies (her favorite flower) and added a couple of bees for fun.
This is my first full sized quilt which I designed mainly myself.
Free form medallion quilt – started with two small pieces of the yellow-orange in the center, and pulled other fabrics to go with it. The braids, blue, and black and white checkerboard were leftovers from an earlier quilt.

I made this one for my beloved brother and his wife, 2 of my favorite people!
