It’s time to gather your fabric and supplies for the latest quilt block challenge: Quilting for a Cause! This challenge features a quilt designed by our managing editor, Ashley Hough. When finished, the quilt will be 48’’ x 60’’ and each finished block will be 6’’.
For this challenge, we partnered with Project Linus, an organization that will accept your homemade quilt and distribute them to children in need. We know how sharing a quilt with someone can make the whole experience even more worthwhile and we hope to donate as many quilts as possible. However, you can still participate in the challenge if you choose not to donate the finished quilt.
Click the button below to download a PDF with the fabric requirements. And make sure to share your progress in the Quilting Block Challenge Facebook Group – we can’t wait to see everyone’s work!

If you haven’t signed up for the Quilt Block Challenge, there’s still time! You can sign up here to make sure you get the block assignments delivered to your inbox each week.

looking forward to the challenge. it make take me long as I just had breast cancer surgery and recovering at home.
My Charity quilts go to First Step (mentally and physically challenged youth).
I am very excited to get started on this challenge, but I need to complete my sewing room remodel first! The ceiling is completed, the walls are painted, this weekend the flooring will be done… then on to the furniture and putting all supplies back into the room! I am hoping/planning for it to be completed by December 8th (my birthday) so wish me luck!
Good Luck!
Thank you
I am on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia and my craft group makes quilts for domestic violence victims. That is what this pattern will be used for.
