We may be nearing the end of the National Quilters Circle Quilt Block Challenge (can you believe it?), but we’re not slowing down! Let’s start working on our seventh block: The Taygeta Star!
For this challenge, we are creating the beautiful Pleiades quilt pattern, designed by the talented Gina Perkes of The Copper Needle.
Looking for fabric requirements? Find them here! You can also find a coloring sheet for this block here.
The finished quilt size is 66 by 66 inches. Click the button below to download a PDF with instructions for your third block. And make sure to share your progress in the Quilt Block Challenge Facebook Group – we can’t wait to see everyone’s work!

I never received the block 9 pattern and I see there isn't a link for it. How do you obtain block 9?

looking for block #8
Can someone help me with block 3. My FG and HSTs did not match up correctly. Someone said there was an error in the cutting instructions but I can’t find a corrected version. Help please!
Just saw this on Facebook and am excited about the challenge. I know I am very behind but will eventually catch up. Love this quilt. Thanks
Hi. I can not open the link for Block 7 from my email. The previous 6 were okay. If it makes a difference the first 6 are blue and number 7 is black. Cheers Raylene
I have never made a quilt of this difficulty, so this is going to be a real challenge. I am scared and excited with it. Thank you for this opportunity to stretch myself.
