I will certainly give this a try. Wish the steps and recipe were in text form. Once I’ve seen the video, it would be great to have the steps to so many of these wonderful “to the point” videos.

Thank you for this great video. I’ve just been brushing it off and using Windex on it. :( Now, I can really get it clean. Very, very helpful. I have never heard anyone talk about cleaning our cutting mat properly, something new and helpful, plus I can get a clean dog out of it to. What a deal!!

Hi, Beverly. You need to have an area where your mat will lie flat. For my larger mats I Invested in a storage container (like Rubbermaid or searlite) and use that when I need to clean my mat. It’s not very deep, about 4 inches, but it is deep enough to soak my mat.

I actually just use a few squirts, a little goes a long way. And thank you! Let us know how it works. Before and after pics of your mat would be fun to see.

Never knew I had to or could clean my mat. I have an old one that has permanent cuts in it. Do you know if this process helps it heal?

    Thanks for the great tips!!

      Hi Linda,
Unfortunately if it hasn’t healed it likely won’t. If you keep your mat supple by cleaning and proper care, you have the best chance of longevity in May healing. Have a great day!
